I love exploring the relationship between active choice and character in myself. The underlying tendencies in my personality and then how I have the choice to act contrary to my nature. Using colour, paint and the treatment thereof as a metaphor for the battle between these two elements within me. This is explored by Agatha Christie in her Miss Marple novels extensively, hence the reference to the character in some of my paintings within this Conversation.
